New Minimum Pharmacy Industry Award Rates of pay

PPA and other unions, through the ACTU, have won a 2.5% increase in minimum award rates of pay through the Annual Wage Review, despite widespread opposition from the federal government, many employer associations and big business.

The 2.5% increase will apply to all rates in the Pharmacy Industry Award from 1 July this year. Please check you are being paid at least the minimum rate for your classification and for the time you work.

It's illegal for employers to pay you less than the appropriate minimum rate for your classification.

If you are not being paid in line with your classification or if you require further advice, contact our Workplace Advice and Support lawyers on 1300 273 762 or email [email protected]
